Rick and Kim Shaw of Caledonia were vocalists. Highlighting the afternoon service was a candlelighting ceremony by the bride and groom and their parents. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a gown made by her mother. Fashioned with long sleeves and a sweetheart neckline, the gown also featured a bodice of satin covered by chiffon and accented with re-embroidered lace.

A chapel-length train finished the gown. The bride's mantilla was trimmed by matching re-embroidered lace. She also wore her mother's black onyx earrings with pearl insets. A cascade bouquet of ivpry silk roses with baby's breath and springeri was carried by the new Mrs. Retterer.

The bride's honor attendant was Jean G. Albert of Forest. Bridesmaids were Sherry Luce of Marion, sister of the bride, Vicki Retterer of Waldo, sister of the groom, and Dawn Bashore and Sally Carroll of Martins Ferry. Flower girl was Angie Jessie of Marion, the groom's second cousin. The bride's attendants wore blue, green, yellow, peach and aqua gowns, respectively.

The flower girl wore a pink gown Best man was Bill Hollaway of Waldo. Ushers were the groom's brothers, Rory and Doug Retterer of Waldo, Bill Luce brother of the bride, and cousin of the groom, Craig Jessie of Marion. Ringbearer was Brad Fletcher of Marion. The groom and his attendants wore ivory tuxedos with ivory shirts and bow ties. Following the June 15th ceremony was a reception at the Civitan Building at Sawyer-, Ludwig Park.

Attending the guest book were the groom's cousin, Mary Lynn Jessie of Marion, and Vicki Hollaway of Waldo. The bride, a graduate of River Valley High School, attends The Ohio State University. Mr. Retterer is a graduate of River Valley High School and Aerospace School of Applied Sciences in Charleston, W.Va. He works for Whirlpool Corp.

A trip to Columbus was taken by the couple and a honeymoon is planned for a later date. The couple will live in Sand Springs, Okla. Matthew James White celebrates his first birthday today. His parents are Mr. and Mrs.
