Geiser Out of 14 weather-related Marion County traffic accidents. investigated by the Marion post of the highway patrol Sunday only four persons received minor injuries and none were treated at hospitals. in the Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Prospect, after a three year illness. Aug. 19, 1883 in Wood County, W. her parents Charles H. and Isabelle Bates Sovel.

Her husband, George V. Geiser, died in 1936. Mrs. Geiser had resided in Prospect two years and was a member of the Lynn Parkers- Street, Church of Christ in burg, W. Va.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alvin Emberton of Prospect, and a grandson. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Gehm Funeral Home, Prospect, with Rev.

Theodore Bretz and Rev. Eugene Conger of Parkersburg officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after Tuesday noon. Leland R.

Simmons Services for Leland Russell Simmons, 75, of 202 Pennsylvania will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Boyd Funeral home. Mr. Simmons died at' 10 p.m. Saturday at Marion Manor Nursing Home following a twoyear illness.

He was born in Wyandot County Sept. 14, 1896 to John L. and Mary Furniss Simmons. On June 29, 1918 he married Opal Baldauf who survives. A carman for the Erie Lacka-14 wana Railroad for 43 years, Mr.

Simmons retired in 1964. He was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Brotherhood of Railway Carmen 1008, AFLCIO and the Erie Lackawana Veterans Association. Besides his wiodw, he is survived by three sons, Robert of 644 Henry Paul of Collinsville, and Arthur of 207 E. Farming St. and seven grandchildren.

A daughter preceded him in death. A sister, Mrs. Joseph (Gladys) Smith, survives in Cleveland. A brother and sister also preceded him in death. Rev.

M. E. Hollensen will officiate at the services and burial will be in Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funerhome Tuesday from 3 to 9 p.m. Mrs.

Eugene B. Cooke Mrs. Eugene (Clara Fribley) Cooke, 90, died at 2:50 a.m. Sunday at Marion Manor Nursing Home. She had been ill three months.

A three-year resident of Mar-5 ion where her daughter, Mrs. Frederick (Virginia) Rea, resides at 890 Vernon Heights Mrs. Cooke spent most of her life in New Philadelphia. She was born there March 20, 1881 to Woods and Ella Custer Fribley. Her husband, Eugene B.

Cooke, preceded her in death Oct. 27, 1963. A member of the Christian Science Church in New Philadelphia, she belonged to the Women's Club, Garden Club and Vesta Club there. Surviving besides Mrs. Rea are another daughter, Mrs.

Robert (Margaret Ann) Bliss of Arlington Heights, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A brother preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Kaser- pect received minor injuries in a two-car accident at Gooding and Owens Roads Sunday morning. and Celesta Mansburger Donaldson. She married John H. Harruff in Marion, August 1952. He died Feb. 8, 1968, in Spokane, and a son, brother and four sisters also preceded her death.

"She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. John (Pearle) Vestal, 1597 Edison 2 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Boyd Funeral Home.

Wasson Paul Luther Wasson, 67, of 395 Claridon Ave. died Sunday in his home after being in failing health for 10 years. Born Aug. 3, 1904 in Bloomdale, his parents were John Marshall and Lola Zimmerman Wasson. He was married Oct.

5, 1940 in Mayesville, to Cuba Elizabeth Kerr, who survives. He had resided in Vermillion for 30 years and had been a representative for Waddell and Reed, of Kansas City. He was a state highway patrolman from 1934 to 1938, stationed in Marion, Troy and Findlay. Surviving besides his wife are a son, Dennis Paul of Orrville, and a grandson. Mr.

Herman F. Emerine CAREY Funeral services for Herman F. Emerine, 56, of 132 S. Muncie Carey, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church.

Mr. Emerine, office manager at the Nye Fostoria, died of pneumonia Saturday morning at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay after a one-week illness. was born May in Hancock County, Washington Township, and on April 26, 1941, married Josephine Armbuster. Surviving besides his widow are two sons, William Francis Emerine of Carey and John Joseph at home; two daughters, of a Carey and Mrs. John (Joyce Mrs.

Neil (Diane) McAlexander Ann) Butcher of Findlay; five grandchildren; a brother, Harold of Carey, and a sister, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Young Marion. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the Goff-Crates Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay Carey, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

Karl E. Parsell SYCAMORE--Karl E. Parsell, 41, of McCutchenville died at 11:25 a.m. Saturday in Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky. He had been in failing health two years and suffered from cancer.

A McCutchenville resident 20 years, he moved there from Forest. He had been employed by Routh Packing Co. of Tiffin. He was a Korean War veteran and had served in the Air Force. Born Feb.

10, 1930, in Forest, he was a son of Marion. V. and Mildred Quail Parsell and his father resides in Forest. He was a member of American Legion and Eagles Lodge of Forest. Surviving also are his widow, Mary Ellen Swerlein Parsell; six children, Karen, Karla, Rodney, Denise, Robin and Matthew; four brothers, Wayne and Lewis of Forest, Donald of St.

Louis, and James of Upper Sandusky and five sisters, Mrs. Harold Arnold of near Upper Sandusky, Mrs. Wanda Stout of Vienna, W. Vera Hopkins of Fayette, Mrs. Estelle Bower of Nevada, and Mary of Forest.

Two brothers preceded him in death. Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Trinity United Church of Christ in McCutchenville. Rev. James W.

Head Wound Takes Life of County Man Services for Chester K. Gruber, 80, of 3181 Marion-Mount Gilead Rd. will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m, in Denzer Funeral Home in Marion, Mr. Gruber, a reired farmer, died Saturday of a gunshot wound, He was found at 10:43 a.m, at home in a chair with head wound and .22 caliber rifle propped at his side. His death occurred in Marion General Hospital at 1:42 p.m.

Dr. R. T. Gray, Marion County coroner. ruled the death suicide.

A son had found Mr. Gruber and called sheriff's depluties to the scene. Mr. Gruber resided alone. Born Oct.

30, 1891, in Claridon Township, he was a son of Isaac and Emily Keyes Gruber. His wife. Leta F. Elliott Gruber, died in 1962. He was a member of Calvary United Church and Progressive Grange.
