Hold Memorial for KSU Victims KENT, Ohio (AP)-Under the slogan "Power to the Peaceful." some 21,000 students began fall quarter classes quietly today at Kent State University. A convocation and parade were planned later in the first day of classes in memory of four students killed the campus May 4 in a confrontation with Ohio Guardsmen. The day also marked the start of "Think Week" on the campus, a series of involvement sessions being held under the peace slogan. Dr. Robert I.

Bauer, Native Of County, Dies Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Jamestown, for Cicero I. Bauer, 75, a native of New Bloomington. Burial will be at Meadville, Mr. Bauer, who had resided in the Espyville, area since 1910, died Saturday in Greenville Hospital after a six-week illness.

His home was at RR 2, Jamestown, Greene Township, Mercer County, where he had farmed. Until 1960 when he retired. Mr. Bauer had been employed in addition by Republic Steel Corp. at Niles, Ohio.

He was a World War I veteran. Born July 15, 1895, he was one of 11 children of Croft and Rachel Krause Bauer. Surviving are his widow. Beryl Artman Bauer: a son, Lauren C. of Hartstown, a daughte, Nyla at home: three grandchildren; a brother, Herman of Espyville, sister, Mrs.

C. W. (Elizabeth) Smith of Loveland. Col. Three sisters and five brothers preceded him in death.

Terzo of 969 E. Center died Saturday 1 in Jacksonville Beach Hospital, Jacksonville, Fla. A native of Marion, he was born Dec. 22, 1902, a son of Mr. and Mrs.

E. A. Solomon. He had resided in Florida eight years, Surviving besides the sister are two brothers, Charles D. of Hollandale, and Frank of Miami.

Former Resident George S. Eyre Dies in Florida George S. Eyre, 88, of Port Orange, a former resident of Marion and father of a local resident, died Saturday in his home. He was born in Scarborough, England. His widow, Sarah Elliker Eyre, survives.

A retired carpenter, he served with the British Royal Engineers in Hong Kong and resided in Canada before coming to Marion where he lived for many years. He had made his home in Florida 20 years. Also surviving is his daughter, Mrs. Orville Hazen of 525 Bimini Dr. A son died during service in World War II.

Hogan Mrs. Vella L. Hogan. 86, of 1422 Mt. Vernon Ave.

died Saturday in General Hospital. Her husband, James died in 1946. Born Aug. 16, 1884, in Delaware County, she was the daughter of Daniel and Emma Jackson Corbin. She was a past president of Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen auxiliary.

Florence Marks, 84, of Radnor died early today in Jane M. Case Hospital in Delaware after a long illness. Her husband, William died in 1939. She was a native of Orange Township. Born Jan.

7, 1886, she the daughter of Frank and Miriam Annette Ladd Whitehead. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Delaward and Rebekah Lodge. Surviving are a son, Dale of RR 1, Radnor; a daughter, Frances of RR 6, Radnor; five grandchildren, and four greatgrandchildren. A son and a daughter preceded her in death. Services be Wednesday at 2 p.m.

Herman E. Dray GALION Herman E. Dray, 61, of Cherry died day at 8 a.m. at his home after an illness of several months. A native of Carrollton, Mr.

Dray was born Feb. 20. 1909, a son of Edward and Nina May Henderson Dray. He was married Oct. 25, 1947 to Betty DeWalt who survives.

A Navy veteran, he was a machinist's mate while serving from 1927 to 1939. He was a member of the ground crew of the dirigible Macon. At Alliance, where he lived before coming to this commun ity, Mr. Dray was a member of the United Methodist Church, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was employed as maintenance man at Sums Landmark, Mount Gilead, for the last 25 years, and resided in Galion since 1959.

Surviving besides his wife, are a step-daughter, Mrs. William Sherrill of Alliance; two sisters, Mrs. Sylvester Neuberger of Cleveland and Mrs. Harold White of Niles; four grandchildren, and three stepgreat Services will conducted Thursday at 1 p.m., from the Sharers- Stirling Funeral in Alliance with Rev. 0-land Ruby officiating.

In June, they donated $200 for medical expenses, and the proceeds from the group's sidewalk sale booth in helped the cause.
